Insite Pacific Inc proudly announce the addition of an Analogue to Serial (RS-485) LED Light Control Card to their Universal ROV Lighting System.
The Analogue to Serial LED Light control card replaces legacy ROV AC phase control light circuits, eliminating the poor lighting control of these systems caused by the lack of power to the LED light at low power levels.
The card converts up to four 0-5v analogue inputs to an RS-485 signal, providing linear 0-100% LED lighting control for Insite Pacific LED lights and LED light ON/OFF switching. It also allows serial control when integrated into the INSITE Universal Lighting POD (ULP).
The card is designed around a Eurocard form factor (160mm x 100mm) and features two diagnostic ports that can output data to either a I2C display or an RS-232 terminal program. It can also include onboard led indicators to assist fault finding diagnostics. The control signals are completely isolated from the board using optocouplers, reducing multiplexer damage and increasing reliability.
